Domestic Violence Awareness Outreach Events for 2019

 

HARLINGEN, Texas – Dr. Jan Marie Capaccioli, the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVAP) coordinator for VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (VCB) is scheduled to be present at the following VA facilities on the following dates, times and locations during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. She will be providing educational materials and answering questions.

October 8, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Harlingen VA Outpatient Clinic located at 2106 Treasure Hills Boulevard Harlingen, Texas 78550.

October 15, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
McAllen VA Outpatient Clinic located at 901 East Hackberry Avenue, McAllen, Texas 78501.

October 23, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Laredo VA Outpatient Clinic located at 4602 North Bartlett Avenue Laredo, Texas 78041, Texas 78501.

October 28, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Corpus Christi VA Outpatient Specialty Clinic located at 205 South Enterprize Parkway Corpus Christi, Texas 78405.

The mission of the VA's Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program id to implement a comprehensive person-centered, trauma informed, recovery-oriented assistance program for Veterans, their families and Caregivers, and VHA employees who use or experience intimate partner violence. For anonymous, confidential help 24/7, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY) for deaf or hard of hearing individuals. Help is available, and you are not alone. Please note this is a public event being held in and on the grounds of a facility within U.S. federal government jurisdiction. Video and photographs may be taken by VA staff for use in broadcast or publications and posting on social media.
